Enforcing policies for GitHub Copilot in your enterprise

You can enforce policies for GitHub Copilot within your enterprise's organizations, or allow policies to be set in each organization.

Who can use this feature?

Enterprise owners can enforce policies for GitHub Copilot in an enterprise.

GitHub Copilot can be managed through the following accounts and plans:

Personal accounts with Copilot Pro, Copilot Pro+, or Copilot Max
Organization or enterprise accounts with Copilot Business or Copilot Enterprise
Eligible enterprise accounts with the Copilot access plan, through GitHub Enterprise Cloud or as Copilot Standalone

Enterprises using the Copilot access plan must be provisioned by GitHub's Sales team or migrated to this plan with the team's help.
